Our goal at Master Minds is to keep a balanced portfolio of participations, not only in terms of sector diversification, but also with the concern of sustainability and preservation of the unique corporate culture of the invested companies.
Role and Stake in Invested Companies
Master Minds is pursuing an active role in all our portfolio companies. In this active role we consider it as necessary to elect members of the Board of Directors and indicate a CCO (Chief Corporate Officer) to the firm.
Exit
We believe that good investments take time to mature. Nevertheless the exit strategy must be clear at the time of the initial investment, whether the sale to a strategic partner or to another venture capital fund.
Risk
Our viewpoint is that a disciplined investment process, thorough due diligence and close monitoring lead to a risk reduction effect for our investments.
Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs represent an essential element for our engagement. In order to implement our corporate strategy and measures, we seek entrepreneurs who:
- Comply with the most rigorous ethical standards
- Are partner-friendly
- Are able to grasp the extent and the benefits of our function within the company
- Are highly motivated to grow their businesses
- Are completely convinced of their companies
As part of the investment process, we conduct extensive interviews with the entrepreneur and assess their adherence to the requirements.
